The Role of Galena & Calcite

In most of our dig sites, especially in the T-West galleries, we often find calcite veins running through the host rock, sometimes forming cavities where galena crystals (PbS) accumulate. Galena is not just a metallic ore — it's a gateway mineral. Wherever we discover high-quality galena, there's often a chance that precious associations like  cerussite or vanadinite are nearby

Life Inside the Mines

Working underground is not easy. Oxygen is low. Risk is high. The silence is broken only by the sound of tools, breathing, or the sudden crack of a wall yielding a pocket of treasure. Most of us miners live modestly, risking our lives daily without any insurance or recognition — while city resellers make huge profits from minerals we extract.
